Access to all sessions and all conference activities requires registration. Participants are encouraged to register in advance and as early as possible in order to benefit from lower registration fees as well as cheaper flight and accommodation costs.

The online registration facility is expected to be available in April 2021. It will be used for registration of conference delegates and accompanying persons, specific evening events, short courses, and optional field trips and accompanying persons tours.

The registration fees will be set and notified toward the end of 2020.

Full registration

Full registration includes:

  • Admission to all sessions, poster and exhibition areas
  • Programme and abstract volume (electronic versions)
  • Morning and afternoon tea during the 4 days of the conference
  • Lunches during the 4 days of the conference
  • Welcome Function – Evening of Sunday 14 November
  • Industry/Student Function – Evening of Monday 15 November

Full registration excludes:

  • Optional evening events on Tuesday 16 November
  • The Gala Dinner – Evening of Wednesday 17 November
  • Farewell Function Dinner – Evening of Thursday 18 November
  • Short Courses
  • Field Trips
  • Accompanying Persons tours 
These require separate registration and payment of fees.

Student registration

Student registration includes all the entitlements of Full registration, but at a substantial discount. Please note that all delegates registering in the student registration category will be required to provide proof of a full-time student status (ID card or letter from your institution or program director) at the time of registering online for the conference. 

Accompanying Persons

Accompanying Persons registration includes:

  • Welcome Function – Evening of Sunday 14 November
  • Industry/Student Function – Evening of Monday 15 November

Accompanying Persons registration excludes:

  • Attendance at technical sessions
  • Optional evening events on Tuesday 16 November
  • The Official conference Dinner – Evening of Wednesday 17 November
  • Farewell Function Dinner – Evening of Thursday 18 November
  • Accompanying Persons tours 
  • Short Courses
  • Field Trips
These require separate registration and payment of fees.

Short courses

Separate registration is required for the Short Courses. Short Courses registration includes morning and afternoon teas and lunch on the day of the short course, but it does not include attendance at the conference technical sessions or social functions. 

Additional social function tickets

If you are attending the SGA 2021 Meeting and would like to invite a guest(s) to join you at the Tuesday optional evening events, Wednesday Gala Dinner and/or Thursday Farewell Dinner, you may purchase additional tickets via the online registration process.  

Payments

The registration fees include New Zealand 15% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Please note that all payments must be made in advance and in New Zealand Dollars. 

Payments are managed by Conferences & Events.

Conferences & Events is a New Zealand Business and all transactions are in NZ dollars and subject to GST (15%).

Invoices

If you require an invoice before paying your registration fees, you will need to register online and select the invoice option.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing to the organising committee. The registration fee will be refunded if cancellation is received before 30 July 2021. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after this date. Please note that a processing fee of $100 will be deducted from all refunds.

Insurance

It is strongly recommended and your responsibility to have insurance to cover medical, travel, and registration expenses in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
